Marilyn Traffas
Mother of the Bride
Marilyn grew up in Victoria, KS, the daughter of Lawrence and Ruth Marcotte. She is a graduate of Kansas State University in Early Childhood Education. She currently works at Medicine Lodge High School as a secretary and drives to see her grandkids as often as she can! Marilyn loves to garden, curl up with a good book, and enjoy the occasional glass of wine. She's an excellent chef and has decided she loves to travel, most recently to Germany and Italy.
Erica Traffas
Bride
Erica grew up on the family farm a mile south of Sharon, KS. She went to Kansas State University, then to Bethel College to complete her Bachelor's degree in Nursing. She lives in Wichita and works in the Emergency Room at Via Christi St. Francis. She likes oil painting and drawing, working in trauma, and knowing more lyrics to songs than Michael. She loves spending time with her nieces and nephews and watching the Aaron Traffas Band perform.
Megan Piester
Matron of Honor · Sister of the Bride
Megan is Erica's older sister. She lives in Kingman, KS, with her husband Andrew and daughters Kylee and Addelyn. She is a graduate of Kansas State University and Washington University and is currently a Physical Therapist at the hospital in Kingman. If she beats you at a card game, she'll lord it over you just like Grandma Mary. There's no mercy.
Aaron Traffas
Brother of the Bride
Aaron is a graduate of Kansas State University and lives in Medicine Lodge, KS, with his wife Diane and sons Nolan and Callan. Aaron is the community evangelist at Purple Wave in Manhattan and operates a farm near Sharon. In his free time, Aaron writes songs and fronts the Aaron Traffas Band, based in Lawrence. Aaron is a pedant, likes craft beer, and can fix your computer.
Brian Traffas
Father of the Bride
Brian was raised as a wheat farmer and cattle rancher in Sharon, KS, the son of Vincent and Mary Traffas. He attended Kansas State University, where he met Marilyn. Brian played guitar and sang folk music. He loved photography, road trips with his family, and telling stories. Brian passed away before the wedding, and his presence is deeply felt and fondly remembered.
