Aaron Traffas, Brother of the Bride
Aaron is a graduate of Kansas State University and lives in Medicine Lodge, Kan., with his wife Diane and sons Nolan and Callan. Aaron is the community evangelist at Purple Wave in Manhattan and operates a farm near Sharon. In his free time, Aaron writes songs and fronts the Aaron Traffas Band, based in Lawrence. Aaron is a pedant, likes craft beer and can fix your computer.

Marilyn Traffas, Mother of the Bride
Marilyn grew up in Victoria, Kan., the daughter of Lawrence and Ruth Marcotte. She is a graduate of Kansas State University in Early Childhood Education. She currently works at Medicine Lodge High School as a secretary and drives to see her grandkids as often as she can! Marilyn loves to garden, curl up with good book and enjoy the occasional glass of wine :) She’s an excellent chef and has decided she loves to travel, most recently to Germany and Italy.

Erica Traffas, Bride
Erica grew up on the family farm a mile south of Sharon, Kan. She went to Kansas State University, then to Bethel College to complete her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. She lives in Wichita and works in the Emergency Room at Via Christi St Francis. She likes oil painting and drawing, working in trauma and knowing more lyrics to songs than Michael. She loves spending time with her nieces and nephews and watching the Aaron Traffas Band perform.

Megan Piester, Matron of Honor, Sister of the Bride
Megan is Erica’s older sister. She lives in Kingman, Kan., with her husband Andrew and daughters Kylee and Addelyn. She is a graduate of Kansas State University and Washington University and is currently a Physical Therapist at the hospital in Kingman. She likes Zulilly, dessert and mowing the lawn. She loves to travel to see any of her PT school friends, up to every K-State football game with Andrew and down to Sharon every weekend she can. If she beats you at a card game, she’ll lord it over you just like Grandma Mary. There’s no mercy.

Brian Traffas, Father of the Bride
Brian was raised as a wheat farmer and cattle rancher in Sharon, Kan., the son of Vincent and Mary Traffas. He attended Kansas State University, where he met Marilyn, accidentally knocked her out with a hair dryer, informed her after her face swelled up that he felt he had socially retarded her and no one else would want to date her, so… would she go out with him? Brian played guitar and sang folk music. He loved poker, golf and single malt scotch. He wrote the book on trivia, entertained philosophy and couldn’t wait to discuss politics and current events.
Even that seems reductive.
